ACORN + SIDE RAIL COLLECTIVES Pressents:
Open Arts Night
Side Rail is joining forces with Acorn Collective to offer a unique open arts night to the public once a month!
The event will be hosted at Side Rail Collective (in Georgetown) every 2nd Thursday of the month!
This Month:
For this months open arts night, we are combining lullabies and the ancient art of Scrimshaw.
Side Rails own Kate Cudney will be introducing the ancient art of Scrimshaw as we cycle the hundred-year-old ivory from our defunct piano.
Come join this unique event. Make art in community while enjoying the music of local singer songwriters including ourfeatured performer, Auntie Death:
Auntie Death (they/them she/her) recollects the grungy music of 80s/90s Seattle and cultivates a comforting sound of dissonance, quiet-loud dynamics, sadness, haunting memories, and introspection.
Auntie Death is here. here to sing you lilting lullabies when you are restless and tired. here to bring you your coziest blanket melody when you’re sad. here to hold and steady your hand with driving rhythm when you’re happy.
We hope to see you all Thursday!!
